Product Description

Leyland P76: Anything but Average is the story of the design and development of the Leyland P76. It has extensive interviews with key people involved, including Peter North, the company’s last Australian Managing Director, Barry Anderson, Graham Hardy, Roger Foy and Reg Fulford.

This book covers the gestation of the Leyland P76, through the Austin and Morris years, through the development and production of the Leyland P76. This book also looks at the interesting concept cars, the might–have–beens from Leyland including the Force 7 coupe and the P82.

As if that is not enough, there are chapters on the P76 in competition, the Elfin Formula 5000 that used the P76 V8 engine as its basis, the Ilinga AF2 and possibly the world’s only Austin V8.

Leyland P76: Anything but Average is a book of 224 pages and is available in two formats: standard hard bound edition at rrp $85 (plus p&h) and a special leather bound edition that will be numbered and signed at rrp $185 (plus p&h); both editions will include a copy of the comparative booklet that Leyland published at the time.
